Students Create Rubik's Cube Mosaic

Students at Sullivan High School put their analytical skills to work and solved 600 Rubik’s cube patterns to create a mosaic of the Statue of Liberty, approximately 4-foot by 6-foot in size. Originally scheduled to take approximately six weeks, SHS students completed the entire mosaic in less that 4 days!

Many SHS students in all grades filtered in and out of the SHS library, working on the project. Braden Smith was the top solver, completing 196 of the 600 Rubik's cubes, followed by Alex Hines, who solved 121 Rubik's cubes.

The Rubik’s Challenge is on-loan from the “You can DO the Rubik’s Cube” Company.
